Original Toronto Star caption: Staggering loads are carried by the Maya-Quiche Indians of Guatemala when they're on their way to market; as evidenced by these villagers climbing the hill to Chichicastenango. There; on thursdays or Sundays; these descendants of the pyramid builders meet in a great clash of color - every village has a different costume - to sell their produce and worship their gods; both Christian and Mayan.
