Original Toronto Star caption: Mongols And Turks are related and the ancestors of this Turkish trader came from the Asiatic steppes the Mongols in Inner and Outer Mongolia dominate. He's a Moslem and Soviet citizen. The far east of Indonesia; Assam and China; to say nothing of Manchuria; is now much in the world's limelight but in the vast mid-Asia which is largely Mongolia there are also affairs that are of great international significance. Outer Mongolia has renounced theoretical Chinese sovereignty and declared itself an independent republic; and Inner Mongolia; long a battleground between Russia and Japan; is today a very large question mark.
