Original Toronto Star caption: The senior citizen of the Year in Oakville for 1973, Gladys Coe, 75, receives a trophy last night from Mayor Harry Barrett. She was chosen from among 100 persons nominated because, Barrett said, she possesses so many qualities it would take me most of the evening to enumerate them all. He cited her work for other senior citizens during three terms as the president of Senior Citizens Club No. 71.
