Original Toronto Star caption: The man who always had workers. William Dennison, a politician who always made sure he had plenty of workers, is surrounded by the little people of his campaign following his upset win over Philip Givens last night. Dennison polled 59,363 votes to Givens' 54,525. The mayor-elect said he wanted Toronto to be a city people liked to live in and also could afford to live in. Dennison's election as mayor climaxes 25 years of hard work.
