Original Toronto Star caption: The Coffin of slain Constable Leslie Maitland is carried by fellow officers through a double line of saluting policemen. Officers came to the funeral from many parts of Canada and the United States. Metro Police Chief Harold Adamson delivered the eulogy; he said the killing of four policemen on duty in 11 months should cause every Canadian to ask himself: What type of society are we prepared to live in?
