Original Toronto Star caption: Only 200 had Seats for the city hall ceremony at Hamilton when the Queen signed the visitors' book; but streets on the royal route were lined with 400;000 others. One of the gayest welcomes given was that from 37;000 school children who cheered for 85 minutes. At the civic stadium; the board of education had paraded 1;200 students to perform drills. So intent were boy tumblers in watching their King and Queen that they missed their mats.
