Lot 17, Con. 1 West. Yonge St. Michael Shepard house, now York Cemetery Office and caretaker's home. Michael Shepard, son of Joseph Shepard, was pardoned for his part in the 1837 Rebellion. John Cummer built this house for him in 1850 in the community of Lansing.
