Original Toronto Star caption: Participation in what is expected to be Brampton's annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Race run the 415-yeard course, flipping pancakes in their skillets as they go. A dozen women took part, despite weather conditions that threatened to turn event into a flop. Winner of $250 prize for charity was Marie Abel.
