Original Toronto Star caption: Vancouver art dealer Torben Kristiansen admires A. Y. Jackson's Early Snow, Alberta, for which he paid $22,000 at Sotheby auction here yesterday. He said he probably would have bid as much as $30,000 to have it. Jackson, who died in 1974 at Kleinburg, was one of Group of Seven. Kristiansen has no immediate plans to sell it. I'm just going to look at it for a while. The 200 bidders spent $324,000.
