Original Toronto Star caption: A Distorted mirror image of artist Don Jean-Louis is one of his works of the past decade that are gathered in a retrospective at the Electric Gallery, 24 Hazelton Ave. But neon and argon tubing is his main preoccupation, and art critic Gary Michael Dault reports that Jean-Louis uses the medium the way other artists use pencils and paint. His understanding of it has taken him beyond the adolescent experimentation in which so many of his fellow artists languish, Dault says in the accompanying review.
