John Crosson arrived from Pennsylvania around 1799, trading a horse to Isaac Devins Sr. for 100 acres of lot 22 (1806). He bought the remainder of lot 22 in 1815, and in 1831 received lot 21 from the Crown. The house was in the middle of lot 22, between Weston and Jane, north of Finch.
