Original Toronto Star caption: In A Bright Yellow Dress and coat to match; the Queen is escorted through the grounds of Osgoode Hall by Mr. Justice G. A. Gale; chief justice of the Ontario Supreme Court. After the Queen had placed a huge silver key in the main door of the hall; officially reopening it after an $8.5 million renovation that took three years; she walked on the grounds behind Osgoode's wrought iron fence. About 5;000 invitations issued by the Law Society of Upper Canada were snapped up by lawyers; their wives and children; filling every visible square foot of space.
