Last summer he lost 60 pounds in fight against overweight, and vowed another 40 off by Christmas. The last 40 is still there.

Big Jim Leeson parks his Cessna Skyplane, zips up his jacket and goes to pay a house call. By flying, Wiarton's Dr. Leeson figures he's beaten one of the biggest problems facing the progessive rural doctor today: Isolation from his colleagues and the big city medical centres. With his Cessna he can hop down to Toronto in an hour for a lecture. Still, he admits, a rural practice might not be every doctor's cup of tea, I'm a farm boy myself...I'm used to it, he says.
