The conduct of the late ministry, or, A memorial; : containing a summary of facts with their vouchers, in answer to the Observations, sent by the English ministry, to the courts of Europe. Wherein (among many curious and interesting pieces, which may serve as authentic memoirs towards a history of the present quarrel between Great-Britain and France) several papers are to be seen at full length; extracts of which lie now, under the consideration of P-----t. Published anonymously. Signatures: A-2S4. [2] pages at front and [1] page at end blank. English translation of T.P.L. 250. A translation of the ''M?moire contenant le pr?cis des faits...'' published by the French government, Paris, 1756, and transmitted to the courts of Europe, for the purpose of showing the aggressions of the British. It includes documents seized from the British at Fort Necessity and at Braddock's defeat. ''Major Washington's journal [March 31-June 27, 1754]'': p. 117-161. ''Letter from M. Robert Napier, written to M. Braddock, by order of His Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland [dated November 25, 1754]'': p. 188-194. It was this letter that called forth the ironical defence of the Duke of Cumberland, published, London, 1756, under title: Reasons humbly offered, to prove, that the letter printed at the end of the French Memorial of justifications, is a French forgery and falsly ascribed to His R---l H-----ss.
