Original Toronto Star caption: One man died in the twisted wreckage of this; car; sandwiched between the rear of an Ontario Northland bus and another car in Sunday's 33-vehicle pile-up on Highway 400. Workmen looking for bodies are ripping apart seven cars that were crushed and burned black; many bodies are beyond recognition and identification is made through car registrations and telephone calls from persons as far away as Newfoundland and Los Angeles asking whether their relatives had been killed.
