Original Toronto Star caption: Top job and its tough: Stan Kichuk carefully checks the bolts on the electric motor of his giant crane atop the York Centre building at King and Yorks Sts. Kichuk; 33; has the key job in highrise construction; operating the 100-ton crane that goes up storey by storey with the building and hoists up the structural components. He must know 30 gear speed positions by touch alone and even a tiny slip could cost a life or at least cause a costly accident.
