Original Toronto Star caption: New phase: Audi is on an image-building drive with its new 90 series; the four-door sedan that is a completely new development from the 4000 series. While the 90 retains front-wheel drive and gets a two-horsepower-less four-cylinder 2.0 litre engine; the quattro (above) gets an improved all-wheel drive system and 15 more horsepower from the five-cylinder; 2.3 litre engine. The interior (inset) is beautifully designed and executed in the sombre German manner.
