Original Toronto Star caption: Ribbons of stalled cars and trucks out lined closed-down highways and roads in Wood-stock-Ingersoll area last night as drifts as high as 8 feet covered roadways. Major highways such as 401 and 400 were shut down as high winds and Arctic temperatures paralyzed most of province. OPP at London said more than 200 people were stranded in vehicles on 401 alone between London and Woodstock. 500 people were in service centres.
