Original Toronto Star caption: Dream come true: Scarborough's pride is its Civic Centre, the creation of architect Raymond Moriyama who also designed the Ontario Science Centre. The building was officially opened by the Queen in 1973. Moriyama designed the seat of municipal government so borough residents would feel welcome when they do business there.
