It took two weeks to drain about 500 million gallons of water and empty Glen Eden Lake. Lake was created when dam was built 13 years ago. In about two weeks; gates of Hilton Falls Dam; high in the niagara escarpment; will be opened to fill lake to its normal level for winter.
