Original Toronto Star caption: The old-fashioned way of boiling maple syrup is explained to visitors by biologist Gary Hutton of the Halton region Conservation Authority yesterday; at Mountsberg Wildlife Centre. Despite the snow; hundreds of visitors turned out for a demonstration of tree-tapping that ended with pancakes and syrup. Horse-drawn wagons carried loads of passengers into the bush to a trail among the trees that ends at the sugar shanty; where the sap is boiled down to syrup.
