Original Toronto Star caption: New children's zoo opens in scarborough; Scarborough mayor A.M. Campbell; who arrived in a stage-coach drawn by four ponies; unveils a sign marking the new children's zoo in Thomson Memorial Park Saturday. The zoo; presented by Scarborough merchants and industries; consists of about 12 enclosures containing farm animals that city children wouldn't ordinarily have a chance to see. It's similar to the Centre Island Zoo.
