Original Toronto Star caption: Seats tore loose on impact and 31 people were hurt yesterday when four coaches of CNR's Toronto-to-Barrie commuter train veered off main line into siding at about 30 m.p.h. and struck refrigerator car. Derailment occurred near Davenport and Caledonia Park Rds. about 15 minutes after train; with about 185 passengers; left Union Station. Police (above) investigated report of tampered switch.
